NAMING CEREMONIES

A Naming Ceremony is an opportunity to celebrate your child (or children) and openly declare your support for them as individuals. It enables you to consider your dreams for your child’s future and appoint special people to assist in their lives as God Parents, guide parents, mentors or any other title you wish to bestow upon them.

Naming Ceremonies are an occasion for the expression of love and joy, hope and acceptance. As your Celebrant I will work closely with you to make absolutely sure your child’s ceremony is unique and special reflecting your personal and spiritual beliefs.

I spend time with you as a parent (or parents) to offer ideas and suggestions to help you find what you want from this special ceremony. I am able to create ceremonies for newborns, older children and adopted children.

You can be as creative as you like with a naming ceremony. Include parents, grand parents, great grand parents, siblings and significant others. Some people choose the child's 1st birthday as a milestone time to have a naming ceremony but it can be any time that is special to your family.

Inclusions:

An initial meeting, (face to face or via Zoom) to discuss what you want the ceremony to look like along with any ideas you may have.
The creation of a unique, tailored ceremony to welcome your new addition into your family.
A signing table draped in white tablecloth to be used for the ceremony (optional)
Use of various props, holders etc. Eternity candle (for Ceremony)
Delivery of the ceremony

VOW RENEWALS

Whether it is five, ten, twenty, twenty five or even fifty years of marriage renewing your original marriage vows or creating new ones is a beautiful way to mark a milestone in your relationship. A ‘Renewal of Vows’ can be a very personal ceremony that celebrates your unique and very special love story. I will work closely with you to create a ceremony that tells your story so far and gives everyone around you no doubt whatsoever of the love you have for each other.

Perhaps you have just gone through some challenging times and want to assure everyone that you are both still solid and have each other's back no matter what. Or perhaps you don’t need a reason… you just want to shout from the rooftops so everyone knows how you feel. Whatever the reason, I can help out by writing the perfect ceremony for every perfect couple that wants to celebrate a renewal of their vows.

Inclusions:

An initial meeting, (face to face or via Zoom) to discuss what you want the ceremony to look like along with any ideas you may have.
A tailored ceremony that is carefully researched, constructed and written in a loving language which best reflects you and your partner's personalities, relationship and wishes. The first draft will be made available to you well before the day and you will have time to review and change things so we get it right.
Assistance with the writing (or re-writing) of wedding vows (as required)
Appointments as necessary prior to your renewal day either face to face or via Zoom/Facetime.
Professional wireless, portable sound equipment (Chiayo Focus 505 Pro) setup to ensure all guests can hear your ceremony. (if required). The setup can also be used to play the music for your ceremony. The music can be controlled by me or a trusted guest.
A signing table draped in white tablecloth to be used for the ceremony (optional)
Use of feather pens, LED light ring boxes, Eternity candle (for Ceremony)

MEMORIAL SERVICES

There are no rules or formal structure when it comes to planning a memorial service. This style of ceremony can be in memory of a loved one or a loved family pet. Whilst I have included this heading under "other ceremonies" I also have heading under "Funerals" that directly relates to ceremonies dealing with loved ones.

Inclusions:

An initial meeting, (face to face or via Zoom) to discuss what you want the ceremony to look like along with any ideas you may have.
A tailored ceremony that is carefully researched, constructed and written in a loving language which best reflects the person or pet that is being remembered. It is their story told in a way that is to be celebrated and enjoyed whilst also considering the memory and legacy that has been left for all of us.
Assistance with the writing of Eulogies and memorials (as required)
Assistance with any music requirements that may be included

MASTER OF CEREMONIES

My cost to provide MC services starts at $800.00. This covers up to four hours.

EXTRAS

On occasion it may be necessary for me to add costs that I incur to the cost of me providing my services. In all cases these will be discussed and agreed to prior to the sending of my invoice.

Travel Costs:

Travel in excess of 120km round trip of postcode 2261 or within 120km round trip of postcode 4107 for Brisbane ceremonies will be charged as per the ATO guidelines at $0.78 per km. Any TOLLS incurred will be charged at cost.

Accommodation:

Should accommodation be required a cost of $200.00 will be added to your invoice

Ceremony Rituals:

Every ceremony on this page under the heading "Other Ceremonies" generally includes one ritual in the cost of writing and performing the ceremony requested. Additional rituals performed at the same ceremony will attract an additional cost.
